Our weekly meetings and monthly outings are a great place for teens (7th-12th graders) to get to know friends and learn about God. Weekly teaching is focused on equipping students to live life for God now as teens and preparing them to continue on in that walk as they venture out as young adults.
During our weekly gatherings, we devide the time between games and instruction. While the weather is still fair, we go outside for activities like capture the flag, ultimate frisbee, etc. Many of the games are active, so sneakers and modest clothes are important. Teens often volunteer to bring a snack to share with the group as well. Mothly events are scheduled in advance and are posted on the teen calendar which is available by request through the form at the bottom of this page.
In 2015, the students will be instructed in how to study the Bible. The Bible is for real life, but sometimes it isn't to know what verse to turn to. We want the teens to experience the impact of God's truth on their lives today. Our study will teach the basics of observing, interpreting, and applying God's word in a meaningful way for teens. We will explore the various types of passages found in the Bible and the best ways to understand genres like Hebrew Narrative, Poetry, Prophecy, Gospel, Letters, and Prophecy.
